Traditions

One of the traditions we started last year was reading "The Advent Book" each night at the dinner table. The kids have really enjoyed it. **(That is between the bickering over who's turn it is to read, who's turn it is to light the candle, whose turn it is to snuff out the candle. . . do I need to make a schedule for EVERYTHING?!)**

It is a hard cover, lift-the-flap book with beautiful pictured pages.

There is one page for each day in December. We always start at the beginning so everyone has a page to read after day 7. And then the kids take turns lighting the advent candle. The advent pictured was painted by my dh's grandma. She was a very talented artist.

This book was a gift to us. (Thanks Aunt Bev & Uncle Jim!) It would make a wonderful gift to any family this holiday. You can go HERE to check it out if you're interested.

Advent Blessings,

Heather
