Merry Christmas!

A day. . .  filled with excitement, good food, and fellowship with family.

A day. . .  with snow and snowmen.

A day. . . for anticipated giving and receiving of gifts.

A day. . .  for watching movies including “Home Alone”.

A day. . .  which requires a good night sleep for Mom.

All this celebration because today we honor Jesus’ birthday and from His birth forward. . .

Always. . .  Immanuel, God is with us!

Always. . . believers have hope in heaven.

Always. . .  we can communicate through prayer with the God of this vast universe.

Always. . . we see the sovereign hand of God, accomplishing his purposes foretold long ago.

Always. . .  every day, I know I need a Savior.

Always. . . .I HAVE a Savior.  He is Christ the Lord!

I so enjoyed the praise and worship time during our Christmas Eve service.

I currently have this favorite praise song and was soooo excited to sing it along with everyone at church last night.

Here are the lyrics:

Jesus Messiah by Chris Tomlin

He became sin
Who knew no sin
That we might become His Righteousness
He humbled himself and carried the cross
Love so amazing
Love so amazing
Chorus:
Jesus Messiah
Name above all names
Blessed Redeemer
Emmanuel
The rescue for sinners
The ransom from Heaven
Jesus Messiah
Lord of all
His body the bread
His blood the wine
Broken and poured out all for love
The whole earth trembled
And the veil was torn
Love so amazing
Love so amazing, yeah
Chorus:
Jesus Messiah
Name above all names
Blessed Redeemer
Emmanuel
The rescue for sinners
The ransom from Heaven
Jesus Messiah
Lord of all
All our hope is in You
All our hope is in You
All the glory to You, God
The light of the world
Chorus:
Jesus Messiah
Name above all names
Blessed Redeemer
Emmanuel
The rescue for sinners
The ransom from Heaven
Jesus Messiah
Lord of all

And if you have a moment, listen to the actual song sung by Chris Tomlin.

Happy Friday. . . Happy Celebrating Jesus, our Messiah!

  3. Just saw this post - this song is one of my husband's all time favs. He says it's because it's so theologically accurate. The truth, in song.
    Bless you!
