Sugar and Spice Pecans

This is a favorite holiday treat around here.

But beware. . . these pecans are addicting.

You can easily eat one after another. . . .and before you know it. . . GONE!

SUGAR AND SPICE PECANS

1 lb. pecan halves

3/4 tsp. salt

1 tsp. cinnamon

1 C sugar

1 egg white

1 T water

Beat egg white and water until frothy but not stiff.

Stir in sugar, salt and cinnamon.

Add pecans and stir well until pecans are completely coated.

Spread nuts on a large baking sheet and bake at 200 degrees for 45 minutes,

stirring every 15 minutes.

Remove from oven when “dry” and toasty.

Store in airtight container.

Everyone had their share and I quickly placed them in gift jars so they wouldn’t disappear.

They make a special holiday gift.

Happy Thursday in December,

Heather
