Just always remember. . .

Parenting is hard.

It's hard when you see behavior which needs to change.

It's hard giving necessary consequences and knowing

that happiness and glee will not be the response.

It's hard when the happy faces turn to disappointment, or anger, or discouragement.

It's hard, yet necessary, to consistently, firmly and lovingly set the ground rules and issue "penalties" when necessary.

Through the years of love and discipline I want our kids to just always remember. . .

There is nothing you can do to make us love you more and there is nothing you can do to make us love you less.

You are loved.

Period.

God loves you even more than your earthly parents.

And there is nothing you can do to make Him love you more and there is nothing you can do to make Him love you less.

He loves you.

Period.
